1946-1949 Philco - USA The Philco Corporation had a long standing history in the electronics industry. They began their business in 1906, making storage batteries under the name Philadelphia Storage Battery Company. By 1927 they moved into radio manufacturing - and also participated in early television development with Philo Farnsworth in the 1930s.
