Grinnell Brothers
was an 'up-scale' retailer in Detroit,
Michigan. Founded in 1879, they moved to Detroit in
1882, and went out of business in 1981. The store sold musical
instruments, radios, phonographs, and TV sets. Some television sets were
marketed under their name. Their 1948 Christmas catalog covered the
following makes of television sets: Magnavox, Farnsworth-Capehart, Du
Mont, Scott, Stromberg-Carlson, RCA and GE. Since this was late 1948,
these models carried over into the 1949 model year. Note retail prices.
